Open Source Software

Open source software has many of the same features as proprietary software, such as techincal support and professional documentation, but it has the added advantage or being more cost effective.

Whether you are simply looking to source alternative software or support a linux network, we have a variety of courses to assist you.

Whether new to Linux or an experienced sysadmin we have the courses to develop your Linux skills. We offer a basic Introduction to Linux course as well as technical courses based on the Linux Professional Institute qualifications LPIC1 and LPIC2. Should you need more customised training for your systems then we are happy to oblige.
Open Office

OpenOffice is the open source equivalent of Microsoft Office. It comprises of a word processor, spreadsheets, presentation and a graphics package which are compatible with other major office packages.

We offer courses that will help you convert from Microsoft Office to OpenOffice as well as user training courses in each of the applications within OpenOffice.

LAMP
LAMP stands for Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP. We offer courses in setting up a LAMP server as well as basic courses in individual components. Please refer to our web section for more details about PHP and MySQL.
